Crazy Hair Day

The kids have crazy hair day at school for red ribbon week. Lennon as you can see, has a blue fohawk and Abby, my dear little Abby, has a bird's nest for hair. Days like these I think makes it all worth going to school!

Search & Win
has anyone heard of swagbucks? I heard about it from athriftymom.com and basically it is a search engine that you earn these swagbucks from and you trade them in for prizes. The best or easiest one aparently is a $5 amazon gift card for 45 swag bucks.
I'm trying it out. This is my first day. I downloaded the toolbar and you use it to search (just like you would on google) every once in awhile you get a swag buck I haven't learned if it is random yet. But I started with 3 swagbucks and got two more today. At this rate it will take me 9 days to earn 45 swagbucks and get a $5 amazon gift card. The coupon moms save them up to get great deals from amazon. I guess it's cool to get something for just using a search engine. There are supposed to be other ways to earn as well but I think I'll stick with just searching for now.
Click on the link above if you want to try it out.

Day with Dad

Bill ran the "Human Race," a race held all over the world. Bill participated in the race with Fleet Feet in Stockton. On his way home he drove by Sac City College and saw this...

He thought it looked pretty cool and thought the kids might enjoy it, so he came home and got them all and took them to the college. This event was supposed to happen during the half time of their football game today. They were kicking off a Red Ribbon, "say no to drugs" campaign.

This is the 129th rescue wing. This helicopter is a military helicopter that can go behind enemy lines and rescues people; it is also used with civilian search and rescue teams. A $20 million chunk of metal.

This is a truck that the police use in drug busts among other things. It had a shower and hazmat suits; also inside were an oven, microwave, TV, and shelves full of all kinds of gear.

The kids are in a helicopter used for the department of justice.
On the way there Meghan found this giant leaf. It was so cool. She was quite proud of it and carried it around with her the whole time there and all the way back home.
You may or may not have been wondering where I was this whole time. Well I was at home reading a book. I was reading the 4th book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series The Battle of the Labyrinth. It was really nice!

Beatles Rockband FHE

A few weeks ago my sister Elizabeth and her husband Houston invited everyone to Mom and Dad's to play Beatles Rockband for Family Home Evening. We had a lot of fun. It was really fun to watch Mom and Dad relive their young days singing the old Beatles tunes.

Bear

On Tuesday Lennon received his bear badge at the pack meeting. He was very excited to get his badge, so excited in fact he acted like Napoleon Dynamite so no one would know how happy he really was! We are so proud of you Lennon, you did a lot of work to earn your badge. Have fun in Webelos!
